Hey there, i'm Jailyn!

Jailyn Genyse (she/they) is an actor and teaching artist born and raised in Houston, TX. She now calls St. Louis her home after graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Some of her favorite credits include Shug Avery in The Color Purple (COCA), A Christmas Carol (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), The Wolves (COCA), and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (Sargent Conservatory). Jailyn can be found submerging herself with young artist to pave the way for their future endeavors. Offstage, she enjoys cooking, hiking, working out, and surrounding herself with loved ones.
